Bhubaneswar Traffic Cops Set Record By Collecting Rs 2,07,700 Fine In A Day


Bhubaneswar: The traffic police have set a record by booking the highest number of traffic violation cases and collecting a penalty of Rs 2,07,700 in one day from Bhubaneswar Urban Police District on Sunday. The amount has been collected from a total of 856 violators at different ‘No tolerance zones’ of the city. The violations include not wearing helmets, not using seat belts, jumping signals and rash driving. The police will continue the drive to minimise accidents and ensure road discipline, said Traffic ACP Jatin Panda.
