Reliance Jio on Sunday started shipping its JioPhone to 6 million customers who booked the smart feature phone last month. The first batch will be delivered to customers within 15 days. The company will be giving priority to rural areas followed by smaller towns and metro cities.
Reliance Jio has promised that all customers who had pre-booked the JioPhone will receive the units by Diwali. Reliance Jio has not yet announced when it will resume booking of the JioPhone. You can also check the delivery status via MyJio application. Within the app, there’s an option to track the order. Enter your order number and tap the “track order” and. Another way is to call Jio customer support – 18008908900 – and follow the instructions on IVR to track the order.
Though Reliance Jio will be keeping users updated about their delivery status through SMS notifications on the registered mobile number.
The Reliance JioPhone was unveiled at the company’s 40th annual general meeting earlier this year. The smart feature phone comes with 4G and VoLTE support, allowing users to browse internet as well as make voice over LTE network.
